BF: Where did<\/b> Farr\u00e9&Costa<\/b><\/a> come from and why?<\/b><\/h4>\nF&C:<\/b> About the ambition of both of us to want to grow in our profession and between laughter and some wines between two friends.<\/span><\/p>\nWe had known each other for a while and had worked together as interior designers in another company and from there and for personal reasons we took different paths that crossed again. F&C:<\/b> We always want you to be part of the<\/span> Farr\u00e9&Costa family<\/b><\/a>, we want them to get involved, to get to know us and we to get to know them, so that a professional relationship is established where trust and professionalism is exuded. Once you reach this point, the rest flows on its own. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
BF: Of the comprehensive interior design services you offer, which one do you like the most? And because? <\/b><\/h4>\n
F&C:<\/b> There is a huge difference between the contract project and the residential one.<\/span> Our relationship was forged in a company specialized in hospitality, so we feel very comfortable within this world, hotel design, retail, restaurants…, they give you a freedom when designing and you also learn a lot.<\/span> As they are larger scale projects, you always find new obstacles to overcome and solve, so it is a constant learning process.<\/span> On the other hand, \u201cturnkey\u201d residential projects they are very<\/span> rewardness<\/span><\/i> at the time the client enters his house and finds it ready to live in. That moment is very special. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
BF: If you had to say two words to a designer who has just started in the professional world, what would you say?<\/b> F&C:<\/b> Enthusiasm and perseverance.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n

F&C:<\/b> Well, we can name some like<\/span> Patricia Urquiola, Kelly Wearster, Iris Apfel, Pascua Ortega<\/b>…, there are countless names in the world of design from which to take references, although while it is true, we understand interior design as a tailored suit where Each project is located in a different space and time.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
BF: How do you get inspired before tackling a project?<\/b><\/h4>\n
F&C: Knowing the client and seeing their lifestyle<\/b> gives us many guidelines when it comes to directing the project<\/span>. In some way they give us clues which we extrapolate in materials, colors, textures…<\/span><\/b>
\n<\/span>Ibiza also inspires us a lot! And it gives us the opportunity to maintain the style and design concept that gives Farr\u00e9&Costa its name. <\/span><\/p>\nOn the other hand, in the end, the world of design is very much governed by trends, so it is very important to stay up to date and soak up them!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n

BF: What do you think are the biggest challenges that an interior designer faces when they arrive at a building or house where they have to work? What is the first thing you have to consider? <\/b><\/h4>\n
F&C: <\/b> Know and understand the client’s needs in order to see their viability in the space in which they are willing to interact.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The challenges can be very different depending on each project and this is precisely what makes our work so exciting and attractive.<\/span><\/p>\nIn the end, the biggest challenge is to meet expectations and ensure that the client is happy with what has been done.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
BF: Do you have a building in Ibiza in which you would like to transfer your design concept?<\/b><\/h4>\n
F&C:<\/b> We love the idea of \u200b\u200btaking an old Ibizan farm lost in the countryside and being able to transform it into an agrotourism or rural boutique hotel.<\/span> They are the type of projects that allow you to reach a very interesting level of detail and also work within certain guidelines of design with which we feel very comfortable, natural materials, textures, colors of the island, vegetation…<\/span><\/p>\n
